Based out of Wilmington NC, Holy Heat is a Rock & Soul trio that writes and performs original music across America. Pulling inspirations from many artists/bands and their respective genres from the 70’s & 80’s, Holy Heat is seeking to implement new styles of Rock, Blues and Soul into the forefront of today’s popular music. What started as a collaboration between cousins Carlos Rising (Vocals/Guitar) and Christian Black (Drums), quickly grew into a trio with the addition of Jonathan Damico (Bass), and since have been performing live in various venues and recording at School House Studio. Established in 2022, Holy Heat’s seeks to continue to bring a fresh sound with the release of their third single, entitled Holy Roller, released July, 2023.

When writing and recording their original music, Holy Heat makes its “home-base” at Schoolhouse Studio, a start up studio built 2021 by no other than Holy Heat co-founder Black. This studio not only home to Holy Heat but also various artists and bands across North Carolina including: Kalee Music, Stray Local, Micah Kolk, Abigail Dowd, Daire Barefoot, Shelby Poly Music, Zach Davenport, Alex Tomlin, and others. This collaboration has extended Holy Heat’s reach across the state and has resulted in connections and opportunities to create and perform real and honest music.
